Invisalign Clear Braces

Want straighter teeth? Invisalign (otherwise known as clear orthodontic therapy) is a great way to achieve a straighter smile. Gone are the days of metal wires and bulging brackets. Invisalign clear braces work like traditional braces, but without the unsightly metal in your mouth. Plus, they’re easier to keep clean and much more comfortable. Contact our Clintonville dental office for details.

You might be a good candidate for Invisalign if you have…

  • crowded teeth – not enough room in the jaw for teeth to fit normally
  • overbite – upper front teeth close in front of lower teeth
  • underbite – lower teeth protrude past upper front teeth
  • crossbite – upper and lower jaws don’t line up
  • gap teeth – extra spaces between teeth
  • open bite – top and bottom teeth don’t meet

Or, you may just want your smile straightened up a bit.

Let’s do this! What should I expect?

Dr. Wooten will start with a full examination and analyze the nuances of your unique smile. Then, you and the doctor will discuss cosmetic goals and any concerns with bite or misalignment. We’ll take before photos of your smile, as well as impressions of your upper and lower teeth with a soft, putty-like material.

Then, we send everything off to Invisalign for processing. In roughly 2 weeks, we’ll see you back at the office to review the ClinCheck. Say what? The ClinCheck is a 3D simulation of the movement of your teeth as planned in your treatment. This fantastic tool will help us estimate your treatment time with descriptive, calculated movements of each tooth. Once approved, your Invisalign treatment is finalized and shipped to our office.

Then what?

During your next visit to our Clintonville office, we focus on the specific movements of each tooth. Small attachments (or tooth-colored buttons) are anchored to teeth. These buttons will help with turning, torquing, and pushing teeth into the right positions. Bonus! These little guys are tooth colored, so they’re hardly noticeable. But don’t worry, once treatment is complete, all attachments will be removed.

We will insert your first tray and send you home with instructions on how to insert, remove, and clean them.

After about 2 weeks, you’ll come back for an assessment. At that time, patients usually receive their next 3 trays. As a rule of thumb, we generally see Invisalign patients once every 6 weeks until treatment is complete. We see the best results when trays are worn 22 hours a day, every day.

Once alignment is complete, we will fit you for retainers and take some fantastic after photos to complement the before shot.

Ready for a straighter smile? Invisalign may be the easy, convenient solution you need.
